When we remodeled, we added oak floors in the dining room. The French doors out onto the new deck were put where double windows had been in the original house. Having the floorplan as it is also increases the feel of the small living and dining area. We never feel crowded.

I'm glad the cat likes the dining area...she does seem to need to be in most every picture!

We love the feel of the French doors opening out onto the deck. It is like we are inviting the outdoors into the house. Light and airy and open.
